  • VERY BEAUTIFUL!!!
Whoever have the place a one star review is not a person who prays to the almighty one above, if you catch my drift! I found that church to be one of the most beautiful places I've ever had the pleasure to see. I was literally overcome with a sense of awe and I felt beauty for the first time in a while.

  • This review is for the San Felipe de Neri Gift Shop.

The gift shop is located just next to the beautiful San Felipe de Neri Church in the old town of Albuquerque. The store is a must visit if you are visiting Albuquerque, since the entrance to the San Felipe de Neri Church Museum is via the gift shop.

Although the size of the store looks small from the outside, inside the store there you can find various religious items, scapulars, crucifixes, souvenirs, church supplies, Pueblo as well as traditional religious artwork and many books from noted publishers such as TAN, Loreto, Preserving Catholic Publications, Ignatius, etc.

A few treasures we found at this store were "The Wondrous Childhood of the Most Holy Mother of God" by St. John Eudes, "A Commentary on The Book of Psalms" by St. Robert Bellarmine as well as the "Historical Sketch of the Catholic Church in New Mexico" by the Very Reverend James H. Defouri.

The store personnel were very helpful and knowledgeable. Checkout is very easy. The store hours are Monday through Friday: 9am - 4:30pm and on Saturday from 9am - 5pm. Free limited two hour parking is outside the Church courtyard. Will definitely stop by again if in the area.

A small note: Although parking can become a bit difficult outside the Church, especially before and after Church Masses, there is ample paid parking (city/private) nearby.

  • A beautiful church indeed. Warmth simply consumes you, the priest, parishioners, the presence of the Holy Spirit. Particularly touching is the fact that visitors are acknowledged and embraced. A loving place for sure.

The church is indeed beautiful, except for the statue of the patron in the very center behind the altar and a tiny little crucifix. This was a distraction as we processed to the front to receive. The congregation is awesome and participates fully. The music is great, and has a distinctly hispanic flavor. The priest, however, was not very respectful of the altar, or the tabernacle. He was very loose with the liturgy, and the order of Mass. This is just my opinion. I would visit the church to see it, but go to the Holy Mass somewhere else.

  • A place of calm in the middle if a tourist mob. There were three tour buses full of people scrambling to buy souvenirs and a whole crew of electricians laying wiring for a film crew to use the next day. I went into the church and the quiet and calm were immediate. Ten minutes re-energized me .
