On the front, it started out like I was really going to get help. It turned out that my experience was with predators who took my money and gave me nothing. They took my money so fast just to tell me that I had no right to do anything and then while I was the one who paid for the Obituary as well, oh gee. What a surprise, they never mentioned me. They screwed up with the body as well. It was there more than two weeks and they didn't even bother to tell me. I found out when I did not receive the death certificates and then they had ME run around town trying to track them down when the love of my live was still at the funeral home all the time and nothing was done. Not only that but they donated my love to the museum of anthropology when I said I wanted it to go to a medical school. These people were predators and took advantage and I would NEVER recommend them to my family and I have already told them not to put me anywhere near these predators when my time comes. The love of my life is still in the refrigerator waiting to be pulled apart for parts because these people took advantage of someone grieving

While attending a French funeral for my fellow coworker of the past 18 years, I received the most disrespectful, uncompassionate treatment I ever have in my life. I arrived early to the funeral to see if I could be of any assistance to my friend’s family. Some of the chairs were not set up yet and so I decided to ask a nearby French worker if there was anything I could do to help out and ensure everything was ready to go, and he very abruptly replied, “No, now please get out of the way so we can get things set-up”. I was taken back by his tone of voice which relayed just how much I had “annoyed” and “inconvenienced” him by speaking to him. I responded by saying that I was sorry that I had bothered him and that I was just trying to help, with which he replied, “I realize you are just trying to help, but your help is just going to slow us down and screw things up for our tight schedule.” I was so shocked by the disrespectfulness he displayed to me that I didn’t quite process it all at the moment. I have been to quite a few French funerals for friends over the years and had never experienced anything less than professionalism and respect from their workers, so I thought to myself that I simply had just experienced a run-in with a new entry level worker that had not yet been trained on how to interact and treat people (let alone grieving people). As the service starts, you can imagine my horror when this young man turns out to be the funeral director for the service! After the service, I made it a point to find out his name and had partial success. Apparently his first name is Chris. I am less certain of his last name as the French worker I talked to concerning him said it was “yogee” which doesn’t even sound like a real name, but that is what the other worker was telling me at least.
