I was a student here from third grade, until I graduated high school about four years ago. I graduated in great standing with the faculty and church side of the building. When I went to college, I found myself grossly ill-equipped to handle most of my studies and experienced learning everything from the ground up because of how brittle my foundation in each subject was. I have since made a single attempted visited of the school, being an alumni of greater seniority there than over 90% of the staff, and was barred entry at the door. It was just this last summer already passed, there were tours going on of the building by prospective students and parents, I couldn't observe any signs that small children were even on the premises, and I was wearing a suit and a tie - freshly ironed at that. I was greeted like scum from the streets as the person who met me at the locked door only opened it enough to purse her lips through a crack as though at any moment I would attempt to force entry into the building. A student of 9 years who left in great standing and graduated with over a 3.8GPA cumulatively, was vice-president of student council and highly proactive in many of the schools events -- treated like a villain when there was no just cause and all I wanted to do was hang a flyer for my business on the bulletin-board in the hallway directly infront of the door I was standing before.
The school was protective, it tried and succeeded at keeping a lot of experiences out of my early life. Experiences I later needed to learn in a much harsher real-world environment on my own rather than in the temporary insanity that is High School.
I do not have children of my own, but I am certain that if I did I would not want to dilute their sense of reality by placing them in this corrosive, depressive and highly synthetic environment.Added June 20, 2017 by A Google User - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
The Pastor at Evangel is amazing; he really understands God and the war that we're in against the darkness better than anyone I've ever seen. I feel grateful to have found this church and found a real man of God in this Pastor. There's so much to learn from this Pastor, and he is very encouraging and life affirming. "Anything is possible with God."

I love Evangel Christian Center. The people have been so loving and encouraging. The hospitality and acceptance have been wonderful and being a smaller church, I have been able to get to know people more personally. Worship has been wonderful and the preachings have been encouraging and faith boosting. Kids ministry has been awesome as my kids have been coming home SO very excited about the word of God. My boys will be getting baptized at Evangel. I am happy to be a part of ECC!

The people there are nice, the Pastors are funny and informative, and the music is pleasing to the ears. What more would you want in a church? Seriously though, these are good people and you will not regret making this your church.
